A Licensed Professional Here to Guide You

As a  Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor based in the Ogden area- I am here to guide you through life’s most complex and difficult matters. I have been in the counseling field for many years providing a number of specialized therapeutic services to those dealing with challenging life experiences.

I utilize an eclectic style of Cognitive and Dialectical Behavioral techniques to help people of all ages live happier, healthier and more productive lives.  Through the use of various psychotherapy methods and collaborative treatment measures, my patients develop life-changing habits to help them cope with any of life’s various obstacles. My therapy sessions are designed to dissect personal issues and provide patients with effective tools to help them move through current challenges in a safe and trusted space.

I am also certified in EMDR therapy, which has been proven as an effective technique with people suffering from extreme trauma, PTSD, grief, and others layers of trauma not easily unpacked through talk therapy.

My experience includes working with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, addiction, trauma, grief, eating disorders, borderline personality, and other mental health challenges. I have extensive experience working with individual adults and couples.

Accomplishments include the 2020 Philanthropic Hero award, Allstate Leadership award, a regular guest on ABC4 and "The Other Side of Hell" podcast

I am an Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselor who brings my life-long passion for people to a professional therapeutic setting. I provide an open and supportive environment that is safe and free of judgment. My goal as a therapist is to assist my clients in creating the life they want for themselves. I believe in my clients' inner strengths and I support them by offering tools to help them identify patterns of thinking and behaviors that prevent them from realizing their potential.

I utilize research-based approaches that empower clients to find solutions to their problems that honor their unique values and beliefs to promote personal growth and fulfillment. These approaches include positive psychology, strength-based theory, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance commitment therapy (ACT), emotion focused therapy (EFT), and solution focused therapy (SFT).

I enjoy engaging with couples, families, and individuals of all ages to work on issues related to anger management, anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, self esteem, shame, guilt, family conflict, parenting/co-parenting, peer relationships, and relationship issues. I have an extensive background in working with children and adolescents who have experienced trauma or difficult life transitions. I help them feel safe, find hope, and learn to believe in themselves.

I understand the struggle, pain, and fear people experience and recognize that these things do not define them.
